The profiled absorber type TR, from ACE's innovative TUBUS series, is a self-contained element made from a special Co-Polyester elastomer and requires no maintenance. The radial deformation of the TR series provides a very long and smooth deceleration with progressive energy absorption throughout the stroke. The excellent characteristics of the material give it satisfactory efficiency over a temperature range of -40°C to 90°C. The low installed mass, the economical price and the possible service life of up to 1 million cycles make it an attractive alternative to hydraulic limit switches if the moving mass does not have to stop in a precise position and if it is not necessary to dissipate 100% of the energy. The compact size of the range extends from Ø 29 mm to Ø 100 mm and is very simple and quick to install with the special screw/spacer supplied. The TR series has been specially developed to provide maximum energy capacity in minimum space for a capacity range from 1.2 Nm to 146 Nm.
The service life is extremely high: up to 20 times longer than polyurethane buffers, up to 10 times longer than rubber buffers and up to 5 times longer than steel springs.
