The mass of the CA4 voluminous shock absorbers ranges from 12.8 kg to 146 kg. They complete ACE's range of self-compensating shock absorbers. All models in this product family are designed for applications where robustness and high energy absorption are important. The shock absorbers are specifically designed for each customer's application with the help of ACE's calculation program. Thus, the risk of collisions and inaccurate adjustment is eliminated. The CA models can absorb up to 126,500 Nm of energy and can be used for effective masses between 700 kg and 326,000 kg. They are indispensable due to their combination of high strength, high energy absorption and a wide damping spectrum. These self-compensating industrial shock absorbers for heavy loads are mainly used in heavy mechanical engineering, e.g. on lift bridges and steel structures or for the damping of lock systems.

Fixed stop: External fixed stops to be provided from 2.5 mm to 3 mm before the end of travel.
Materials: Outer housing: Corrosion-resistant coated steel; piston rod: hard chrome-plated steel; end stop: hardened and corrosion-resistant coated steel; return spring: chrome-plated steel.
