Like the standard TR model, the ACE TR-H profile absorber is used for radial damping and provides a very long and smooth deceleration. ACE TUBUS profiled shock absorbers are maintenance-free and designed with special elastomers. With similar dimensions, the TUBUS TR-H has a better energy absorption capacity due to a solid material mix. The new TR-H model completes the TUBUS series between the progressive model type TR and the almost linear model type TS. This allows a wide range of damping solutions within the TUBUS series. The excellent material characteristics give the material a satisfactory efficiency over a temperature range from -40 °C to 90 °C. The low installed mass, the economic price and the possible service life of up to 1 million cycles make it an attractive alternative to hydraulic limit switches if the moving mass does not have to stop in a specific position and if it is not necessary to dissipate 100% of the energy.
The compact size of the range extends from Ø 30 mm to Ø 102 mm. The TUBUS is very simple and quick to install with the special screw/spacer that is supplied. The TR-H series has been specially developed to provide maximum energy capacity in minimum space, with a capacity range from 2.7 Nm to 427 Nm.
The service life is extremely high: up to 20 times longer than polyurethane buffers, up to 10 times longer than rubber buffers and up to 5 times longer than steel springs.
