Types of Hydraulic Filters and Their Differences
Low-Pressure Filters:
- Typically used in the suction line or return line of a hydraulic system.
- Designed to handle lower pressures, usually below 10 bar.
- Often used for coarse filtration to remove larger particles.
- Examples: Suction strainers
Medium-Pressure Filters
- Used in various locations within a hydraulic system, including pressure lines.
- Designed to handle moderate pressures, typically between 10 and 30 bar.
- Used for finer filtration to remove smaller particles.
- Examples: Pressure line filters
High-Pressure Filters:
- Used in critical locations where high pressures are present, such as close to high-pressure pumps or servo valves.
- Designed to withstand high pressures, typically above 30 bar.
- Used for very fine filtration to remove even the smallest particles.
- Examples: Filters for high-pressure pumps, servo valve filters.
